“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

 | 3rd Oct 2009 to 21st Oct 2009 | Goa
It was terribly cool to return to Goa these past 3 weeks. We stayed in Benaulim where I'd stayed a few years ago. Eva took many of these pics and did a great job. Hope you enjoy them.

 | 12th Jul 2009 to 20th Jul 2009 | Kathmandu
Unfortunately, I was, as you'll see, uninspired about this particular journey. Not that it wasn't an interesting place, just that I had other things on my mind. More and BETTER pics next year.

 | 17th Jun 2009 to 25th Jun 2009 | Diu Island
Not too far from me, and yet so different for what it offers. Done right, this is an outstanding holiday spot. Originally Portugese, it's now, with Daman, a Union Territory of India and governed by Delhi.

 | 21st May 2009 to 24th May 2009 | Udaipur
For all the outstanding Mughul architecture, to have decided to be the Octopussy (James Bond) capital of the world is very odd. Those crazy Indians :)
|
 | 14th May 2009 to 20th May 2009 | Jaipur
The Pink City. Check the text under the pics for descriptions.
|
 | 4th May 2009 | People in North Uttarakhand
Most of these shots were in the village of Mana. The people were so lovely, and in most cases (except the woman knitting) they wanted their pics taken.
|
 | 3rd May 2009 | Sadhus or Psuedos? You decide
They're everywhere, especially in the pilgrimage areas. Some are real, some are not. It's a shame.
|
 | 2nd May 2009 | Badrinath and Mana
Ah, just one pic for now - still sorting out the things
|
 | 29th Apr 2009 to 30th Apr 2009 | Kedernath - Guptakashi
Most everyone went on the Kedernath trek - 28Km roundtrip to the temple. 3 of us stayed behind to cook, and on the way back stopped at the Triyugnarayan temple where legend has it that Parvati married Shiva. Said to be the oldest temple in the Himalayas.
|
 | 27th Apr 2009 | Gangotri
This is the start (actually about 18Km trek farther) of the Ganges River. The temple sits at 3,042 meters.
